How Zetton Beer Gardens increased their booking rate by 20%
Zetton Beer Gardens
Beer gardens have become the signature summer activity in recent years. Zetton Beer Garden is one of the few companies that are willing to bear the risk of opening beer gardens and has continuously hosted beer gardens year after year.
"TableCheck has the perfect online reservation system, our booking rate has increased by 20%, and seating utilization is 1.5 times higher!" - Zetton Beer Gardens
The Challenge
Beer gardens are considered a high-risk business because staff and resources tend to be limited. In addition to that, the operation is highly depended on the weather. At some larger beer gardens where the capacity is approximately 400 people, they could receive up to 800 reservations a day. This is particularly problematic when they have a limited number of undertrained staff who finds it difficult to shift between answering phone bookings and other work on site. Moreover, they have a variety of menus, and the courses on the menus are constantly changing, making phone reservations very complicated and arduous.
Solution
After adopting TableCheck's online reservation system, they no longer accept phone reservations; instead, they only take reservations from the online reservation site (TableCheck) or Voice Concierge (automated phone reservation system). Through the use of customized seating feature, Zetton can maximize table utilization and occupancy rate. On rainy days, SMS reservation reminders come in extremely handy because they can notify customers that the garden is closed.
Result
They have drastically reduced the phone calls from customers. The booking rate has increased by 20%, and seating utilization is 1.5 times higher.
